Full-stack engineer on an asset finance platform used by brokers, customers and internal operations staff, working mainly in Laravel, Vue and PHP, with Drupal for the public marketing site.

• Building financial calculation APIs used across internal and customer-facing front ends, including embedded widgets

Full-stack Engineer

Full-stack engineer across a student lettings platform: the public property site, landlord and letting agent portals, tenant accounts, and internal admin and ops tools. Mainly Laravel, Vue, PHP and React.

• Migrated a Java sign-up and quote platform (two branded sites) to Laravel, including moving its data off Google Cloud, so the existing Laravel team could own and maintain it
• Built property feed imports from letting agents' systems via XML feeds, webhooks, API endpoints and file uploads
• Built Salesforce integrations for leads, sign-ups, tenants and bills, using OCR to pull data out of uploaded documents
• Migrated CI/CD off Jenkins: rebuilt code checks, Docker image builds and deployments in GitHub Actions, and moved scheduled jobs into Laravel's scheduler
• Turned product goals into technical specs and ticket breakdowns, and was the go-to for technical questions
• Mentored around six developers as the tech team grew from two to around eight, raised coding standards and processes, and helped build a dedicated production support team

Web Developer

Full-stack developer and project lead on client projects, mainly Laravel and Vue across a wide range of PHP versions.

• Built bespoke business systems, customer portals, e-commerce and brochure sites for clients in sectors including travel, manufacturing and care
• Led six client projects from requirements to delivery, with weekly delivery for each: wrote a technical spec and a plain-English spec for client sign-off, then set up the tickets and led small teams through the build
• Reviewed and signed off the team's work as project lead, and tested a large share of tickets to catch issues before release
• Mentored three junior engineers and trainees, including on the company's trainee scheme: teaching fundamentals, answering questions and reviewing pull requests
• Maintained and upgraded legacy applications, some as old as Laravel 5.2, onto newer PHP and Laravel versions
